INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION

As you know, the district uses AlertNow as our automatic notification service.  In the event that the service experiences technical difficulties, please be aware of the following district procedures to follow on inclement weather school days.  



1.  An AlertNow call will be made to students’ homes at approximately 6:00 a.m.   

2.  If you do not receive a call by 6:15 a.m., please use any of the following resources to find out if school is closed or delayed:

3.  If the AlertNow call is for a delayed opening, please be certain to listen to the entire message.   If there is a possibility that the delayed opening will be changed to a closing, that will be included in the message.  For your information, the second call would not be made any later than 7:30 a.m.

Please be certain that you inform your respective school(s) of any changes to your telephone number.   The information in AlertNow is updated on a daily basis; however, if you do not receive the AlertNow call and have recently changed your telephone number, please consult one of the resources listed above.  

Thanks in advance for your cooperation as we plow through the winter months.  

 If schools are closed any day during midterms, that day’s exams will get bumped to the day we return.

e.g. If schools are closed on Wednesday the 25th and we return on Thursday the 26th, students would take Wednesday’s exams (Periods 3 & 9) on Thursday.  We would then administer Thursday's exams (Periods 7 & 8) on Friday.
 
If we have a delayed opening during any of the two-a-day midterms, both exams will still be administered and the times will be 10:00-12:00 and 12:41-2:41.
 
If we have a delayed opening during the three-a-day midterm (Periods 4, 5, & 6), we will give two midterms, periods 4 & 5, at 10:00-12:00 and 12:41-2:41. The fourth day would then become a three-a-day with periods 7, 8 & 6.
